Open Question: Citizens reporting for citizens?

Hi, this is for my social studies project on new media. I would appreciate it if you could answer my questions. Thank you. Most define citizen journalism as people without journalism training reporting the news to a wide audience. What is citizen journalism to you? Are Facebook and Twitter considered (when you think about people tweeting about natural disasters even before the news reaches news companies) forms of citizen journalism? Would you support support citizen journalism personally? Why? Do you think citizen journalism is a reliable source of information? Why? What would you consider as forms of citizen journalism? Why?
